About Our Program
“Through dance, we discover the magic within ourselves.”
Tigettes offers kids an opportunity to learn competitive pom routines and work on dance and tumbling technique in a fun environment and prepare them for future dance teams. This is a competitive program, not recreational. Attendance is required and taken at every practice. Poor attendance can result in not competing at the discretion of the coach. This program requires commitment through the entire season. Youth Tigettes is open to all incoming K-6th Graders. New this year we will offer an Elite All-Star team that is tryout only. This is open to 9th grade and younger. Teams will be divided based on age groups and number of participants. There is NOT a tryout for the grade level teams. Teams will practice one/two days a week for one to two hours.. When it gets closer to competition, additional practices may be added if needed. This will be determined by the coach and 2 weeks notice will be given.
They will not only be working towards the goal of being the best dancer they can be but also making lifelong friends. We have the best staff that truly cares about each one of your dancers and are here to make this experience exceptional for your dancer!
The purpose of our competitive dance team is to grow into confident, strong, and more diverse dancers. It is not to win at all costs. Our purpose is to challenge our dancers, give them a goal and motivate them to reach it. We learn to take constructive criticism and make corrections from coaches and judges to improve our dance skills and perform to the best of our abilities. We will use the growth mindset in all that we do.
